Buddy List?
Q. Please can anyone tell me how too get rid of a guy that keeps on trying to get me to add him to my buddy list i have no clue who this guy is i have ignored him he keeps coming back to be added.how is he coming back. when i have him ignored him so many times. or should i contact yahoo ..some one please help me with this issue ...Thanks

A. Put him on your ignore list and you will appear of line to him. click on messenger >preferences >ignore list > then add his address >then click on apply and ok. that should shut him up. good luck.

How do people get on your buddy list on AIM?
Q. I'm referring to when exactly does a person stay on your buddy list. Cause i was looking over my list today, and i found names of people i never knew or even talked to. How do they get on the list? Is it after you accept their message or reply? Or is it through another means, because, as I've said before, i never even replied to some of the people's im's and they're on my list somehow.

A. I think the newer version of AIM saves peoples S/N's that you've gotten messages from in a new tab. That's why I switched back to the old version of AIM. There might be a setting in the preferences that can stop that.

On facebook Yoville friends online but on the buddy list it says there not?
Q. I tried selecting her on the buddy list when she's online, so i can switch servers to the one she's on, but the dot and arrow are both grey. And they wont change colors at all. I know how to switch servers to get to hers but the buddy list says she's offline when she's really on, what can i do?

What does it mean on aim when someone on your buddy list has an away message but the sn is gray and slanted?
Q. Ok, u know lke when 1 of ur buddies is signed off, their sn is on ur buddy list as ffline and their sn is gray and italicized? Weel what does it mean if someone's screen name is italicized and gray, but they have an away message and they're listed under a regular group, like friends?

A. it probably means that they had put on an away message before, but now they're idle. Idle means that they haven't moved their mouse or keyboard for an amount of time (20 -30 minutes, depending on your settings)

A. there's an option to save your buddy list in your setting. save it to your computer then go on your new screen name, back into settings and upload the list.

When you sign on to AIM on the LG Rumor, do you get to view your full buddy list?
Q. I have sprint, but I have the SCP-2400, so i think its time for a new phone. But anyway, i've been looking into the LG Rumor and the Samsung UpStage. However, on my phone, when I sign on to AIM through Sprint, i only get to see 30 people from my buddy list. So, for anyone who has the Rumor, do you get to see your full buddy list, with all of your groups and everything?

A. Go on AIM through your computer. Under the group "mobile" add the buddies you want to see on your phone. Then sign off AIM. Now sign on from AIM through your phone. Now you should see those buddies that you added from your computer.

A. The e-mail address contains the Yahoo ID name. Add the part before the @ and you have a Buddy on your list:)

A. Its possible that you DID approve someone you know, and that someone may have changed his Yahoo Messenger name or nickname, so now its shows a different name which you no longer recognize. Remember that when you change your contact details in your Yahoo Messenger, it would also update what is showing on your friends' list. If you are unsure of a certain contact in your list, simply click on that person then select "Contact details". Check if that person changed his nickname. I also don't think its possible to have someone in your list without you approving them. Also, if you remove someone from your list, it doesn't necessarily mean you will be removed from theirs.

A. Highlight the names and the right click. Choose copy and then when u get to the other buddy lis right click and choose paste.

A. There is a little multi-colored circle at the top of the buddy list under the [x], next to "Help". Click it and a little box pops out with the options.

Why does it say all phone numbers are offline on my AIM buddy list?
Q. I just created a new screen name, and after i did that it says all phone numbers are offline. Whenever i try to send an IM to a phone number it just says it is unavailable. Does anyone know how to fix this, or why this may have happened? In case i wasn't clear enough here is an example. +1555222666 is is shown as offline, and is unavailable to send IM's to. all of the numbers on my buddy list are like that.

A. On Yahoo Messenger, under Contacts, very bottom of the menu is Organize Messenger List. Highlight and a side menu will appear that will allow you to move & copy names from one group to another or create a new group. Once you've selected a friends name, click ok and choose the group you'd like the name to be in.

Do you have to pay extra for texting someone if they put your cell number in their buddy list?
Q. You can put someone's cell phone number on your buddy list (on AIM) if you put +1 the area code, and the number (no dashes or spaces) and talk to them through texting. Will the person with the cell phone get any extra charges, besides the regular texting fee for texting like this? I was wondering because I know you can sign in the AIM thing on your phone, but form what I understand, you pay extra for that. By the way, I have Cellular One.

A. No, it's just the same as a text. I have at&t(cingular) and do the same thing. So at&t bought out cellular one i hear so i guess there will be no charges.
