How do I stop Yahoo messenger pop ups telling Messenger is on another Computer and error report is requested?
Q. Pop ups keep occuring because another computer is using Yahoo Messenger. The Messenger has been deleted, supposedly from all computers, and there is no sharing. I can't find Yah Messenger on the computer used. Our cimputers share a common router.

A. Your Router is not the problem. Make sure you dont have "Keep me signed in" checked and sign into Yahoo Messenger first, not into e-mal.

How to make Windows Live Messenger work?
Q. I just installed the latest Windows Live messenger on my computer. I had been using windows messenger that was already installed for a few hours beforehand. A. What you get is spam from bots what is a terrible annoyance on Yahoo now days. You can prevent it by going into Yahoo Messenger preferences and adjust your privacy settings (Ignore List - ignore anyone who is not on your Messenger list) or (Messages - Show the Messages in a single window) If you like to visit Chat rooms, i suggest you get the YTunnel, it provides you with further options to screen out unwanted IMs, www.ytunnelpro.com or log in with one of the Chat Clients (i.e.Yazaak) which has more option to screen out the spam and booters.

How do I keep my Messenger enabled cell phone from signing out of Messenger automatically?
Q. Apparently, after a certain period of time (24 hrs?) Messenger automatically signs out my cell phone. I would love to keep it signed in indefinitely so I can be IM'd from my contacts at any time. And no, it does not sign me out because I signed in to my account from another source. It just signs me out and lists me as offline for no particular reason. I can not continuously sign back in, is there something I can do?

A. Some one has an auto sign in option checked . At home or at work' . Which ever is the place of the problem . And that sign on has to happen on the computer in question . When you sign off you are signed off for that computer no others . At home it can be logged on and you would not know about it .

A. Now that's confusing. I thought Windows Messenger is MSN Messenger. Anyways, on the login screen, press the arrow down, which opens the list of users who were logging on, highlight it (do not click!) and press Delete button on your keyboard. After that, clear cache and history. That should do the trick.

A. At the top of Yahoo Messenger click the Messenger Menu and then go to Preferences. Choose the General category and uncheck the first box that has yahoo messenger starting up with Windows Startup. Now when you restart your computer or turn it on you will have to click the yahoo messenger icon on your desktop to open yahoo messenger. If you ever want to completely exit yahoo messenger without rebooting just right click the yahoo icon by your clock and choose exit. Good idea to Sign out first but not necessary.

A. On your pc, in your start menu, go to control panel, then programs, startup programs, you might have to run it as administrator. Once the list of programs builds, you can disable any one of them from there. You'll still be able to use it, you'll just have to open it from a desktop shortcut or other place.

A. Click Start > Control Panel and scroll to Sound and Audio Devices, click there and you'll find that feature. As far as I know, Voice doesn't have this feature, but I could be wrong.
